Home, Jiggity Jig Sketches

We arrived home yesterday about 4:30 p.m.  It was a good trip.  We loved seeing the great grands, grands, son and daughter in law and niece.  We had excellent company and conversations and food.  Can't beat that.

I'm guilty of not sketching more and taking more photos.  Most photos are of the kiddos.

Today was so delightful, not hot, not cold, not windy!  Should be more of these.

I sketched out in the yard in the big book sitting on my stool.  I used a Prismacolor 08 and some Pentel Pen Markers.  I was going to use colored pencil as the paper won't take watercolor, then saw the markers.  They appear to have lots of colors, but when you use them, there isn't much difference.  The pink for the primrose looks orange.    There are quite a few flowers now in the yard, even the little Wine Cups.  In a wide angle photo, it mostly looks like grass.

Number 1,2,3 - flowers, leaves, trees

The sketches are on white paper, looks blue.  I'm not sure what happened.

Our roadrunner visited this afternoon.  He wasn't figity but he wasn't very visable in the deep grass.  It was amusing when he stopped and scratched his head when he got to the pavement and rocky ground.

I'm visiting Joan Bohl's plein air class tomorrow at the Lost Pines Art Center.  The Center is having more classes.  That is great!

We haven't been anywhere since last summer. It would have been fun to meet up in Eureka Springs. Today I downloaded my new pastel magazine and read the article by Enid Wood. Very nice!

Bag Blog, Eureka Springs would have been a great meeting place. We did not find our singers, Buffalo Gals with Melissa Carper. They were in Tennessee. We will get together one of these days.

the paper is blue usually because the white balance if not right on the camera :) easy to fix, (usually) :)

Jennifer Rose, Ha! Thanks. Easier to complain than to figure it out. See how it goes today...from the procrastinator.
